Employment law is a constantly evolving area of law and as such, it’s imperative that businesses have access to expert, tailored legal advice. O’Donnell Solicitors has vast experience in representing employers in respect of employment law matters, including:
- Unfair, Wrongful, and Constructive Dismissal
- Breach of Contract Issues
- Early Conciliation Advice (now compulsory prior to commencing a claim in the Employment Tribunal)
- Negotiating and Drafting Contracts of Employment for employees/senior officers and assisting with HR issues.
- Advising on redundancy
- Drafting and advising on settlement agreements
- Advising on TUPE
- ACAS Early Conciliation
In the first instance, seeking proactive advice helps to ensure your business adheres to the relevant laws and regulations. O’Donnell Solicitors are able to provide straight talking legal advice, seeing that you have the necessary documentation in place to provide protection and that you are aware of any relevant changes in the law which affect your business.
Should a situation with an employee arise, it is important to establish the root of the issue at an early stage in order to ensure that the most cost effective advice can be provided from the outset.
It is now imperative that a potential claimant notifies ACAS at an early stage of a potential dispute under the Early Conciliation process. Unless this is undertaken, a claim cannot be brought before the Employment Tribunal. There may be circumstances where the Employer elects to notify ACAS of a pending claim.
